Congratulations, Angela, on winning our Culture of CARE Excellence Award!

Angela Blount is an Insurance Specialist II at our Administration office. She is recognized for her proactive and supportive approach. Angela willingly steps up to lead training sessions for new hires, demonstrating her commitment to teamwork and knowledge sharing. Her dedication extends beyond her immediate team; she collaborates with other teams, seeking answers and suggesting process improvements for the benefit of the practice.

Q: How long have you been with Epic Care?
A: Going on six years this April.

Q: What does “We lead with CARE” mean to you?
A: It means leading with teamwork and compassion and providing the best care possible.

Q: What does your job entail?
A: I work with insurance companies on claim denials, overpayments, and appeals. I help train new hires in our AR department.

Q: If you could switch roles with someone in the company for a week, who would it be and why?
A: Anita, our Director of Revenue Cycle, I would like to see how RCM is handled and learn more about the different departments and how they function.

Q: If you could have any animal as a pet, regardless of practicality, what would it be and why?
A: A finger Monkey, so I could take it anywhere with me.

Q: If your life had a theme song, what would it be and why?
A: Lean on Me by Kirk Franklin. I am always available and willing to listen to others and help when needed. Music is my go-to!
